Sustainable fishing and the MSC
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is a non-profit organisation. The MSC was set up to address the problem of unsustainable fishing.

Measuring sustainability
The sustainability of fisheries can be assessed regardless of size, geographical area or method. Our standard regarding the rules of sustainable fisheries is a means of measuring this sustainability. When fishing is assessed independently against this standard, three main principles are considered:

The health of the fish population
Have enough fish been left in the ocean? Fishing must be at a level that ensures it can continue indefinitely and that fish stocks can remain productive and healthy.

Environmental impact
What are the impacts? The fishing activity must be managed carefully so that other species and habitats within the ecosystem remain healthy.

Effective fisheries management
Are operations well managed? MSC-certified fisheries must comply with relevant laws and must be able to adapt to changing environmental circumstances.

IFS FOOD

The quality and food safety system, certified in accordance with the IFS-Food standard, is implemented in the whole factory, from the reception of the raw materials to the dispatch of the finished product.
In this way, we guarantee that all our codfish has been produced in accordance with food safety standards and that when it reaches your table it can be consumed by your family as a safe and healthy product.
