Codfish Caesar Salad

Ingredients

2 Riberalves traditional codfish steaks
4 tbsp. olive oil
2 garlic cloves
Iceberg lettuce
100 g Parmesan cheese
5 tbsp. croutons
Caesar sauce to taste
Black pepper to taste

Preparation

Allow the codfish steaks to defrost, rinse under cold tap water and dry using kitchen paper.

Heat the olive oil and fry the crushed garlic cloves until golden. Remove the garlic from the pan. Lay the codfish steaks onto the flavoured olive oil and fry for 3-5 minutes on each side. Remove the skin and bones and flake.

Separate the iceberg lettuce leaves and cut the Parmesan cheese into thin slivers using a knife or potato peeler.

Place the lettuce and codfish flakes in individual bowls. Top with the Parmesan slivers and croutons and pour the Caesar sauce. Season with pepper to taste.
