Codfish from Vila Real

Ingredients
800 g of small potatoes
4 cloves of garlic
1 dl of olive oil
1 bay leaf
vinegar q.b.
Paprika q.b.
Salt and pepper or chili q.b.
Preparation

Turn the oven on to 180 ºC. Defrost the codfish stew and place it on a tray. Peel and wash the garlic cloves and chop finely. Then season the codfish with the garlic cloves, bay leaf, paprika and pepper or chilli and drizzle with olive oil.
Wash the potatoes, place them in a dish or Pyrex dish, sprinkle with coarse salt and put them in the oven to bake for about 40 minutes. Stir them from time to time and put a toothpick in them to check if they are baked. Remove them from the oven, let them cool down, shake off the excess salt and press them slightly to open them, as you can see in the photo.
Roast the codfish in the oven for about 30 minutes. Then remove from the oven and serve with the potatoes. Drizzle with the sauce from the tray and the vinegar. Garnish to taste and serve the codfish from Vila Real.
