Codfish Stew

Nothing like a nice Codfish Stew, simple to prepare and delicious. How about trying it at home? Ready to taste good!

Ingredients

500 g deep-frozen soaked codfish Riberalves
2 garlic cloves
1 bunch of parsley
100 g of butter
4 slices of white bread
1 cup of «crème fraîche»
600 g of potatoes
1 onion
1 egg yolk
Nutmeg

Preparation

Nothing like a nice Codfish Stew, simple to prepare and delicious. How about trying it at home? Ready to taste good!

Boil the codfish, remove the skin and bones and mince in the mincing machine. Chop the onion, garlic cloves and a sprig of parsley separately, heat and brown in half the butter. As soon as the onion becomes translucent, add the codfish and let it boil for a while, stirring constantly. Add and crumble a piece of breadcrumbs, previously soaked in the cooking broth. Remove from the heat, place on an oven dish and flatten with a spatula.

Mash the cooked potatoes, add the other half of butter and crème fraîche, season with nutmeg and cover the mince. Brush with egg yolk and place in the oven to brown.
