Ingredients

800 g Riberalves Ready-to-Cook Codfish Steaks
800 g potatoes
3 cloves garlic
2 onions
500 ml bechamel
400 ml tomatoes, diced
50 ml olive oil
Grated cheese to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Coriander for sprinkling

Preparation

Thaw the codfish and boil it. Once cooked, drain, let it cool and discard the skin and bones.

Peel and wash the onions and garlic cloves; cut the onions into half-moons and chop the garlic cloves. Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the onion and garlic. Gently fry until well cooked. Then add the tomatoes and simmer a little longer, until everything is soft. Remove from the heat, add the béchamel, and set aside.

Peel and wash the potatoes, cut them into small cubes, and fry them. Drain the excess oil and add the potatoes and the codfish to the tomato mixture.

Pour into an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with grated cheese, and bake in the oven, preheated to 200 ºC, until golden brown. Serve your Family codfish right away, sprinkled with coriander.
