Oven-baked Codfish Steaks with Rosemary and Garlic

Ingredients

4 traditional codfish steaks
5 sprigs rosemary
4 cloves garlic, sliced
Olive oil to taste
200 g carolino rice
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 onion, chopped
4 tomatoes
150 m white wine

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC.

Put the rosemary sprigs into an ovenproof dish and arrange the codfish steaks on top.

Add the sliced garlic and drizzle generously with olive oil.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, make the rice. Put a dash of olive oil into a pot along with the chopped garlic and onion, and sauté until golden brown.

Add the tomatoes, bring to the boil, add the white wine and cook for 20 minutes. Now add the rice and 400 ml of water and continue cooking for about 18 minutes, until the rice is cooked.

Serve your Oven-baked codfish steak with rosemary together with the rice.
