1 medium Portuguese cabbage
4 medium potatoes
2 medium carrots
Salt to taste
250 g chickpeas
Olive oil and vinegar to taste
To prepare a delicious Riberalves codfish in its full glory, rinse the codfish steaks under cold tap water and dry using kitchen paper. Place the codfish steaks in a pan with water, bring to the boil and cook for a further 10 minutes.
Boil the cabbage separately, in water seasoned with salt. In a separate pan, boil the potatoes and carrots. Boil the eggs in a third pan. Drain the chickpeas, rinse under cold tap water and place them in a bowl with boiling water.
Serve the codfish immediately with the vegetables and boiled eggs. Dress with olive oil and vinegar.
