Defrost the codfish f<\/a>illets, rinse them, put them in a pan, add water until they are covered, bring to the boil, turn off the heat and let the codfish cool in the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, peel the potatoes, wash them and place them in a bowl with cold water seasoned with salt for 10 minutes. Then drain them, fry them in oil until golden brown, remove them and let them drain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clean the codfish from the skin and bones and shred it. Peel the onions and garlic, cut the onions into thin half-moons and chop the garlic. Cut the bread into small pieces, mince them until they become like breadcrumbs, pour into a bowl, add the paprika and mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the garlic and cook until golden brown. Add the onion and the bay leaf, stir and cook until the onion is golden brown. Season with salt and pepper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour the fried potatoes into a dish tray, spread the codfish on top, cover with the onion mixture, sprinkle the bread mixture with paprika and bake in a preheated oven at 180\u00b0C until golden brown. Remove and serve sprinkled with chopped parsley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
