To prepare a Riberalves Christmas Codfish, you\u2019ll need the very best Portuguese codfish and plenty of Season\u2019s Greetings! Read the full recipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Add the codfish steaks to a pan and cover them completely with olive oil. Bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, toast the cornbread and lightly fry the chorizo in a frying pan. Remove the codfish and cook the potatoes in the same olive oil for about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan and fry the turmeric and chopped garlic until crispy. Add the cabbage and cook until soft and shiny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a bowl, mix the toasted cornbread, fried chorizo and chopped parsley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Place alternating layers of potato, cabbage, egg and codfish<\/a> on a baking tray. Top with the crumbled cornbread mix and serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
