Navegando assim, em \u00e1guas ricas de bacalhau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paralelamente, no s\u00e9culo XV e XVI, com os descobrimentos, o Bacalhau tornou-se um importante alimento para as tripula\u00e7\u00f5es portuguesas. Salgado, seco e de f\u00e1cil transporte, o bacalhau ou &#8220;fiel amigo&#8221;, se mantinha conservado durante os longos per\u00edodos das grandes viagens. Estes s\u00e3o os tempos lend\u00e1rios da pesca portuguesa do bacalhau, que devida as restri\u00e7\u00f5es de afastamento dos bancos de bacalhau, impostas pela rainha Isabel I de Inglaterra, mudam drasticamente. Este lugre-bacalhoeiro portugu\u00eas foi lan\u00e7ado \u00e0 \u00e1gua em 10 de maio de 1937 e, at\u00e9 1973, realizou 37 campanhas de pesca no Atl\u00e2ntico Norte. Um verdadeiro s\u00edmbolo de hist\u00f3ria e cultura, continua no ativo como Navio de Treino de Mar (NTM) da Marinha portuguesa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dimens\u00f5es<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>COMPRIMENTO FORA-A-FORA:<\/strong> 67.40m;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>COMPRIMENTO DO CASCO<\/strong>:  62.64m;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>BOCA M\u00c1XIMA<\/strong>: &#8211; 9.90m;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PONTAL<\/strong>: 5.90m;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CALADO:<\/strong> 4.70m;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>ALTURA DOS MASTROS<\/strong>: 36.00m;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SUPERF\u00cdCIE V\u00c9LICA<\/strong>: 1244m2.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A pesca do bacalhau, tamb\u00e9m conhecida como Faina Maior, de forma continuada, reiniciou-se em Portugal em 1872 pela Bensa\u00fade &amp; Cia. e em 1885 pela empresa Mariano &amp; Irm\u00e3o, que, contestando o monop\u00f3lio dos importadores, come\u00e7aram a enviar veleiros todos os anos \u00e0 Terra Nova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Curiosamente, mais tarde a Riberalves chegou a comprar todo um carregamento do Navio Neptuno, pertencente \u00e0 Parceria Geral de Pescarias do atual grupo Bensa\u00fade. Estes pequenos barcos, de f\u00e1cil constru\u00e7\u00e3o e relativamente fr\u00e1geis, eram transportados para os grandes bancos de pesca pelos bacalhoeiros, \u201cbarcos-m\u00e3e\u201d, e chegavam a ser empilhados entre 50 e 60 d\u00f3ris. Diariamente, cada d\u00f3ri era lan\u00e7ado \u00e0 \u00e1gua com o seu tripulante, para uma pesca \u00e0 linha onde se enfrentavam grandes desafios, como as tempestades e o frio, o nevoeiro, os icebergues ou at\u00e9 as baleias. Muitos pescadores nunca regressaram \u00e0 casa! Assim, em apenas algumas d\u00e9cadas, mais de 80% do consumo de bacalhau em Portugal era assegurado pela produ\u00e7\u00e3o interna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De tal forma, era fundamental para a frota bacalhoeira portuguesa que os homens que se voluntariassem para nela trabalhar, ficando assim isentos do servi\u00e7o militar obrigat\u00f3rio.<strong> O pescador de bacalhau foi elevado \u00e0 categoria de her\u00f3i da p\u00e1tria<\/strong>, herdeiro dos navegadores que haviam levado o nome Portugal al\u00e9m-mar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div
