Cut the codfish fillets in half.
Sauté the chopped onion with 4 tablespoons of olive oil, add the peppers cut into pieces, salt and pepper and stew until the peppers are tender.
Meanwhile, coat the codfish fillets with flour and fry them in very hot olive oil. Serve the codfish with the peppers.
