Ingredients
200 g deep-frozen shredded codfish Riberalves
1 l of natural mineral water
1 leek
2 garlic cloves
1 medium onion
1 pinch of chopped parsley
Olive oil
3 large potatoes
2 spoons of cream
1 coffee spoon of sweet paprika ('sweet pepper' or, more commonly, 'paprika')

Cut the leek into very thin slices and sauté in olive oil, with the garlic and chopped onion. When the onion is golden, add the hot mineral water (avoid tap water: disinfectants ruin any soup).
Cut the potatoes into not very small pieces and season them with salt and pepper to taste. Add the paprika and cook for 15 minutes. Add the codfish and cook for another 15 minutes. Add two tablespoons of cream, adjust the seasoning and, when serving the Codfish Soup, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley.
