Sauté the sliced onion in a pan with two tablespoons of olive oil, add the beans, the bay leaf, salt and pepper and cook for about 10 minutes. Separately, boil the codfish remove the skin and bones and flake it.
Heat the remaining olive oil with the crushed garlic. Arrange the codfish and beans on the serving plate and drizzle with the hot olive oil.
