Codfish Hot Dog – Ready to taste great!

Ingredients

2 Riberalves 9-month Cured Traditional Codfish Steaks
Olive oil and lemon to taste
1 clove garlic
4 lettuce leaves
1 large carrot
1 cucumber
4 cherry tomatoes
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
4 tablespoons Greek yogurt
Chives and basil to taste
Black pepper to taste
4 hot dog buns
4 tablespoons fried onion

Preparation

Have you ever tried making Codfish Hot Dogs? They’re easy to make!

Thaw the codfish steaks, rinse them under cold running water, dry them well with kitchen paper and cook them in olive oil with a clove of minced garlic for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Remove the skin and bones, and shred.

Cut the lettuce into julienne strips, peel and grate the carrot and thinly slice the cucumber and cherry tomatoes.

To make the sauce: mix the mayonnaise with the Greek yogurt, then add the chopped chives and basil, black pepper and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and mix well. Generously spread the inside of each bun with the herby mayonnaise mixture.

Place some lettuce, carrots, cucumber and tomato slices on each bun and top with some of the cod. Sprinkle with fried onions and serve immediately.

Your Codfish Hot Dogs are ready to take to the beach.
